Summer Rental Rates - Summer 2009

June 1, 2009: During this economic downturn, many owners are willing to negotiate their rates.  Some factors they will consider are the popularity of the week(s), the number of people renting, and whether someone is willing to clean the cottage on arrival, which saves a cleaning fee.  Some owners are increasing the reduction for multiple week rentals. Owners with negotiable rates are marked with a red asterisk (*).  For additional last minute bargians, click here.

This page contains the rates for 2009.  This page was last updated on June 10, 2009 and will continue to be edited as rental contracts are received from property owners.   If no rate is shown, we have not yet received the 2009 contract from the owner.   Please remember that some owners enlist our assistance in renting vacant weeks only after their own families and guests have been confirmed or if they have a cancellation, so not all owners may post rates every year.  The rates below are accurate to the best of our ability, but human errors do occur even in computerized documents, so we make the usual disclaimer that we are not responsible for such typographical mistakes.  This does not mean that we have made any less than our best effort to provide up-to-date and accurate information.

Please note: Most owners offer discounted rates if they rent in the off-season. Some owners have a single rate regardless of the length of a vaacation, while a number of owners use a two-week vacation as their default rental and charge a premium to cover the additional cleaning necessary for a single week. The chart below lists the rental rates for each of these options. A few owners base their rates on demand, with a higher rate for the weeks of greatest popularity or proximity. These entries are posted on an individual basis.
