How to find us:
Once you come over either of the two bridges, you must get on Route 6 East. The Sagamore Bridge will put you on Route 6. The Bourne Bridge is a little more complicated. Route 495 turns into Route 25. Stay on it. Do not follow a sign to Cape Cod at an exit before the bridge. That is a high traffic road with scenic pull-offs and pedestrians in the road. Once over the bridge, there is a rotary (traffic circle). Go 3/4 of the way around and folllow that road about 3 miles to a traffic light. Turn right at the light to get onto Route 6.

Stay on Route 6, the "Midcape Highway," past the last actual exit, Exit 12**. Continue to a traffic circle, locally called the Orleans Rotary***. The rotary is on the Orleans/Eastham town line. Enter the rotary and go halfway around, then continue straight. This is still Route 6, but it is a much more rural road with intersections and curb cuts. It is Eastham's main street. To reach our office, go through three traffic lights. The first one is tiny Eastham Center. The second is at the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitors' Center. The third is Brackett Road. Immediately beyond the light on your right is a Gulf gas station. PETERS REAL ESTATE is the next building after the gas station on the right.

**If you are arriving for a vacation, Exit 12 is where you get off the highway for Shaw's/Star Market for groveeries.
***If you are arriving for vacation, take the first road off the rotary to go to the Super Stop & Shop for groceries.

These exits are two points on the same road, Route 6A, which leads to the shops and restaurants in downtown Orleans. You can follow it to the rotary.

How to call us:

We do not have an emergency phone number. Our regular business phone number is our after-hours and emergency number. During the off-season months we rely on a telephone answering machine at night, on Sundays, and whenever we have to leave the office on errands. In the summer, we employ Nauset Answering Service. Calling our number will take you to recorded instructions which give you the option of leaving a message that we will receive the morning of the next business day or reaching one of their live LOCAL HUMANS in an emergency. They know how to contact us 24/7 and your emergency call will be returned as soon as possible.

In a snowstorm: Cape roads can be treacherous during a snowstorm, or during an "ocean effect squall", a small, localized blizzard. If we are unable to open the office or close early due to bad weather or dangerous road conditions, you can still reach us during business hours. E-mail us with questions. I try to answer e-mails within a couple of hours. If you leave a message on the phone, I'll check the office by remote several times a day and return all calls. And if we anticipate being snowed in or without power, we may make special arrangements until things are back to normal. (NOTE: If you are planning a trip to view property for sale or rent, call us the day before you plan to come to check local road conditions and availabiity. Roads that have no year-round residences may not be plowed.)
